A Scarf for Life 2025
Knit not just a beautiful scarf – make a statement for children in need around the world! By purchasing this yarn set, you support the “A Scarf for Life” campaign by Brigitte and Save the Children. Your donation helps provide children with safety, health, education, and hope – wherever they need it most.
This year’s design was once again created by Guido Maria Kretschmer and features a modern, expressive color palette. The scarf is knitted in a half-brioche pattern and is both a stylish accessory and a symbol of solidarity.
Wear hope – Give hope
For every scarf sold, €10 will be donated directly to Save the Children. Since 2014, the campaign has raised over €3.3 million. Your contribution will be used flexibly to support children in crisis situations around the world – wherever help is needed most.
Yarn set contents (for one adult scarf):
- 100 g Lana Grossa Bomba, col. 7 (peach/white/light/dark green/grey petrol/brown/turquoise blue)
- 50 g each Lana Grossa Cool Merino in:
- Col. 19 (Green)
- Col. 33 (Yellow)
- Col. 13 (Light Grey)
- Knitting pattern for the “Scarf for Life” (available in German only)
- Sew-on label
Size: approx. 22 × 200 cm (without fringes)
Note: The yarn is also sufficient for two children’s scarves (approx. 17 × 125 cm). The scarf should be steamed or blocked after knitting.
Recommended tools (not included):
- Knitting needles size 6 (we recommend 60 cm circular needles)
- Crochet hook size 10–12 (for attaching the fringes)
Action Day: December 10 – Human Rights Day
Wear your scarf on this day to show your support – in person or online. Of course, you can support the campaign beyond this date or gift the scarf for Christmas.
