Lana Yarns Ananas is an innovative yarn made from 70% lyocell and 30% pineapple fibre - sustainable, environmentally friendly and with an extraordinary look. The pineapple fibres come from the leaves of the pineapple plant, which would otherwise be incinerated as a waste product. Thanks to an enzymatic washing process and a completely mechanical manufacturing process, no harmful chemicals or bleaching agents are used. The result: a slightly rustic yarn with a pleasant feel, without any scratchiness. The fine lustre of the lyocell gives the yarn elegance, while the natural breathability and suitability for lace patterns make it perfect for light, airy knitting projects.
